I’m a professor in the departments of history and American studies at Brown University. Through June 2023 I taught in the public humanities program and was faculty director of the Center for Digital Scholarship and Interim Director of the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage. As of July 1, 2023, I am semi-retired and the George L. Littlefield Professor of American History. 

I teach and write about museums and the history of museums, public humanities and digital humanities, and the history and philosophy of technology. I’m on twitter @lubar. My email is lubar@brown.edu.
